I have some questions about ALS. I am 30 years old and started experiencing a strange tingly type feeling in my left arm about 1 month ago, particularly in my thumb. I have not particularly noticed any weakness, although I am now noticing my left arm seems to tire more easily especially with repetitive activity. I am the mother of two small children and I don't notice any weakness in picking them up or anything. I have occasional mild twitches - more like one twitch and then nothing for awhile. I started going to a chiropractor who believes I have a pinched nerve in my neck. The weird thing is that some days it feels much better and I hardly notice it, then the next day it will feel very strange again. I find myself wondering if it is actual weakness in my arm or just a weird feeling. Does this sound like the beginning of ALS? I have gotten so scared about it that I think I may be imagining more symptoms than I actually have. I would appreciate any input.

Hi alowe. Welcome but I think you may be in the wrong place. Your symptoms sound more like Carpal Tunnel Syndrome or pinched nerves. We're not doctors so listen to them but I'd not worry until all avenues have been looked at.
