Hello, my father has had a worsening in his condition last week, sudden drop in oxygen saturation. He has been in the hospital since, hooked up to the tracheotomy machine, forever as it appears. He has bad days, when it is hard to breathe, a lot of saliva, he is weak and sad. And he also has better days, when he is energetic and even manages to do a dance in the bed.
My question is more general, what are the things I can do to make him feel better when I come visit? I have not been always present during the worsening of his condition, so I am still taking the time to get used to seeing him hooked up to an oxygen machine, helping him breather for the rest of his life. Also if you have any tips for treating bed ulcers that would be very helpful.
Thank you!
