I’m sorry for creating a new thread, but I do have a quick question if anyone knows the answer. My other threads are locked. As I posted I had a normal emg done on my right side where I am having the symptoms. The neuro that I saw this week wants to do one on my left side as well. Does anyone know the reason to this?

Most likely because you won't stop asking about ALS, not because you have it or he thinks you have it. No one (but you) thinks you have ALS. This is what docs call "covering their arses".

The other threads were closed due to your not being able to gain reassurance, despite the answers you had received. You must ask your neurologist and not strangers on the internet what reason this decision was made.
