Hello: Thank you for allowing me this one post. I have had pain in my left thumb for a year or so. It hurts and hurts to the touch. Recently, I have experienced weakness in this thumb and the forefinger. I cannot hold my two adjacent fingers together, parallel, and when I make the "OK" sign with thumb and fingers, all the fingers are weaker than the right hand. It is more difficult to tie my shoes and strings with this thumb as well. My overall handshake seems normal. I can do a pushup on my fingers. I don't know what else to add, other than, as is everyone else on this thread, I'm scared.
Oh, I had a neurologist exam four months ago, tested me for strength, but the weakness is new.
Thank you
