Question about cramping

For PALS my question is are the cramps you have associated with flexion of the muscle like when you flex too hard and the muscle locks up or is it just a sharp pain like side stitches you get when you run? I have fasciculations and cramping all over but they are the sharp king like you get in your side when running not like when the muscle locks up.

If your only real symptoms is cramps, please see your doctor as this is very treatable.

I had an emg. Denervation and reinnervation was detected in the first intraosseus muscle bilaterally but my ulnar nerves showed decreased conduction amplitudes bilaterally >30% on the ncs, which points to a neuropathy as the myelin in ALS is usually preserved in the early stages. Denervation and reinervation can occur in demyelinating neuropathies as well apparently.

It looks like you know that the doctors are looking at something quite different from ALS. Hopefully they can help you get this treated in a timely way.
