Hello,

I have an appointment with the ALS specialist in 2 weeks. I do not have a diagnosis at this time. I saw 2 regular neurologists and they did not see a concern. I asked to be send to the clinic because quite honestly this has been ongoing for 17 months and I have not been taken seriously. The only person who saw concern was my neuro physio who spent an hour testing me and saw weakness in my left arm and abnormalities in my mouth.

I understand everyone progresses differently. I have been having a lot of issues with my left arm that are not getting better. My shoulders are a lot boner on the left side, my left shoulder is dropped. I also feel constant pain in different areas of my arm. I can lift it but it certainly feels a lot different than my right. I also have other symptoms but this is my most concerning. I also feel a lot more pain in my hands when typing. Or if I use my hands a lot the day before I will wake up and they will be in pain. I know often they say ALS does not cause pain however I have also heard PALS who were in pain. How did your symptoms progress? Can anyone relate?
