This paper uses samples and data from the NIH study of C9 carriers with ALS, ALs-FTD , FTD and no symptoms They also looked at non C9 PALS and controls. The non C9 PALS trended higher on the biomarker but not significantly A fluid biomarker reveals loss of TDP-43 splicing repression in pre-symptomatic ALS
