If you had ALS, it would show up on the EMG. It's unnecessary to do more limbs. As for what you should do going forward, you should continue to work with your doctors and trust them. You probably should ask your primary care if you need something for anxiety.

I'm sorry your symptoms are worrying you but being on this discussion forum is not helping.

Best wishes.

Thanks for the response! I’m just concerned about my right hand feeling weak and pains and tightness up and down my arm. I can still do everything but my grip is a bit difficult at times. I’m not dropping anything. I’m just surprised he didn’t test muscles in my arms.

Get Real
"Possible Symptoms" the title of your thread. Well, possible
didn't happen over two pages.

Natsfan, You’ve posted 8 messages, you’ve got 17 replies.
Three times you never answered a question. You’ve been
seen by a Neurologist who saw no evidence of ALS.

There is really nothing more here that can help you..
Lingering here on this site will only fuel your Health Anxiety more.

This is an ALS site which you do not have.

No one here are going to disagree with your Neurologist
or any other doctor you may be seeing.

Anymore questions or concerns now have to be only with your
doctors. Not here. Hope you get the real help you need soon.

If you could post the de-identified EMG report, we could be more helpful. Was it abnormal at all?

Since evidently no signs of ALS showed up in asymptomatic areas, there is no point to doing more. ALS damages motor neurons even in areas you think are fine.

He said the EMG went fine. I don’t have a report or anything of it. I’m starting to have a lot of post nasal drip and weird tightness in my throat making it harder for me to talk. Both of my arms get tired easier or fatigued when I use them. I’m going back to see him on Friday and I have an appointment with ENT tomorrow about my throat.

Good news about your clean EMG.
Since you've had a clean clinical and electrodiagnostic exam, plus have no ALS symptoms, perhaps you can finally put this fear to rest.

For your throat and nose issues, lozenges work well, along with a nasal spray. Any other cough and cold symptoms should be addressed with your doc.

Good luck to you.

Bestfriends 14, so none of this to you seems like I’m in a “pre” als phase then? This random cough can be attributed to early bulbar onset right? I always urinate several times an hour especially when I’m in bed.

NatsFan, it's pretty clear you are terrified of ALS despite being cleared of it- and we really can't help you with that or provide the kind of support you are looking for. It's time to stop repeating the same questions on this forum and expecting different answers.

I will be closing this thread, as you've been answered multiple times, as well been cleared by medical professionals who have years of specialised medical training. Please do not open another.
