Hello Everyone. I am appreciative of you guys letting me join this forum and I don’t want to take up anyone’s time that is PALS or CALS so thank you in advance! I am a 34 year old Male and since the middle of August 2023 I have been dealing with widespread twitching. The symptoms initially started in my calf muscles but quickly spread all over body including to my scalp, eyes and face. I also have been dealing with a lot of pain and cramping in major muscles and joint (I.e.Biceps Calves and thighs). I had a moment of remission in my twitching for about a 2 week period in September but they returned. I also noticed my left arm ( non dominant) seems to have lost muscle compared to right arm. In late October I developed hand tremors, significantly worse in right hand. Tremor is especially bad when trying to hold my phone or hold something tight with just my thumb and pointer finger. I have seen a neurologist that says she thinks it’s stemming from anxiety. I had a follow up two weeks ago with Nueromuscular who examined me and said he would bet that I don’t have ALS. This should have been a relief. Unfortunately since then my twitching and spasms have increased in my lips and chin, and neck to the point my cheeks go completely numb and tingly. My scariest symptoms have been over the past week I have had increasing difficulty swallowing. Good doesn’t seem to go down as easy and it feels I have to swallow liquid extra hard. The scariest of all was as I tried to sleep last night I kept waking up because it felt as though my throat kept closing and feels like I’m have esophageal spasms. My tongue also seems to constantly be pressing against the roof of my mouth unless I move it purposely. Sorry for the long post but I’m worried this might be Bulbar onset. I do have a history of Gerd and Sleep Apnea. I was wearing my Cpap at the time. Also I do have an EMG scheduled for January 4
