Hello, thank you for accepting me in this community, at least there is a place where we can be heard and understood.
My symptoms started about a month ago, I felt weakness in my hands and legs and felt like they were heavy and sometimes I couldn't feel them at all, accompanied by muscle twitching ( fasciculations) and involuntary movement of the little toe and my pinky , I also felt a lump in my throat and difficulty swallowing sometimes with a feeling of heaviness and tingling in the tongue sometimes,
I rushed to the neurologist who did a physical examination and gave me a blood test for the muscle enzyme CPK and did an electromyography EMG. The physical examination was normal but the muscle enzyme CPK was slightly elevated. After the examination, he told me that I am in good health and that all my symptoms are caused by anxiety and that I should try to forget about them. He prescribed some vitamins for me.
The problem is that I still feel these symptoms. Although they sometimes improve, they come back and get worse again, especially in the hands and feet. I get tired quickly and feel muscle weakness and heaviness in the fingers. Should I look for another neurologist because I am frankly lost and feel terribly anxious? Thank you very much.
