Hello,
I am a 30 years old female currently living in Korea.

I have been experiencing weird symptoms all around my body since 7 month ago and have seen numerous doctors (Neurology, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Lumatis Internal Medicine) in solving out what my symptoms can possibly be. I by chance found this site while searching my symptoms on Google.

To summarize my symptoms,
( It started with a cramp in my left leg while I was stretching at night)
  1. Left leg
    • **feeling very very very stiff every time I walk as if its going to explode or like blood not flowing or feeling of severe muscle pain
    • feeling of a gentle vibration or electric micro current going across my leg and numbness (24H). Hard to sleep because of this.
    • Muscle twitching (worse when sitting or lying down or staying still)
  2. Left Arm
    • numbness in left leg + forearm to finger
    • Every time I type, left forearm feeling too light and feeling of micro shaking inside the arm
  3. Tongue
    • very sore tongue and my voice is rough sometimes.
  4. Rest of the body
    • sometime my right side also feels like I have muscle pain (X work out)
    • muscle twitching around the whole body even including the eye lid but 90% in left leg

Tests done so far and disease to ruleout
  1. spine(cervical thoracic lumbar) Mri
  2. pelvic & hip Mri
  3. brain Mri
  4. lung knee spine sacroiliac joint x-ray
  5. intravenous ultrasound for varicose veins
  6. abdominal ct
  7. numerous blood test
  8. numerous EMGs (last done 2month ago)

I still haven't found the cause of the symptoms, and every day is so painful that it's difficult to live.

I would like to ask if my experiences can possibly be some early symptoms of ALS
or is there a possibility of any other disease that I haven't ruled out yet?

Please help.. thank u

I would really appreciate it if anyone could share some experience or give me some direction in solving or finding out what my disease is.

I'm normally indifferent to pain, but this is so bad that I can't sleep, my legs are numb and the feeling strange, so I'm really looking for the cause.

Thank you so much again.

I deleted your more recent duplicate post.

To answer this one, this does not sound like ALS at all, and evidently the EMGs and exams support this. I would look to schedule a consultation with a physio or a physical rehabilitation physician ("physiatrist"). I would also ask if the lab work was intended to rule out a post-viral syndrome.

I would also ask about a sleep study. If you have problems breathing or moving abnormally in sleep, this could explain many if not all of your issues. You could track your sleep with a wearable meanwhile, and also ask anyone who can see you sleeping if you have your mouth open, are snoring, gasping, twitching, etc.

Thank u very much for your reply.😀

I will schedule a consultation with a physio or a physical rehabilitation as soon as possible.

My symptoms haven't gotten any better since April and is making me get worried more and time goes.

Thnks again for the reply and will consider your advice!
