Up until now, my twitching has only occured when I have been resting. Well today, I was lifting groceries off the counter and my right tricep started twitching. I thought that benign twitching always stopped when the muscle was contracted. Does this sound more like ALS twitching? I am freaking out! My neuro appt is still 5 days away. Should I be more concerned about this type of twitching?

Simply put . . . no, it shouldn't concern you any more. The initiation of twitches with the flexing of muscles is not something out of the ordinary.
