Swalker, about the button hook… I don’t mind Ann to button
my buttons. I always get a little hug after. :)

Kevin, was it really PD ? A problem for those who have more than
really needed to accomplish the mission. :)

Kim, breasts…gravity. I’ve lost a lot of weight but not there and
they ain’t as high as they used to be. :)

Jewelry… I have a collection of that too, dress watches, wrist
bracelets (yea men wear ‘em too), pinkie rings, lapel pins and
insert dress coat pocket scarves tri folded different colors.

Shoes too… my preferred brand was Johnston & Murphy.
Those now are in shoe bags in the closet… maybe someday
someone will appreciate those too.

Now I wear a Timex watch with a white face and black hands.

Now, a tip to those who may go to Florida from up North.
Don’t wear tee shirts or shirts that are dark blue, light blue,
maroon, any shade, beige or grey. When you sweat from the
humidity it will be a dark spot under the arms, under your
boobs and down the middle of your back.

Native Floridians wear white, yellow or very light colored shirts.
Same for hats. Yuk, sweat ring around your hat.

Great Thread… want to hear more from the girls. Fun.

PS. As Jimmy Buffet said, "Condo Commando Men"... walking
down the beach wearing sandals, black over the calf socks,
plaid shorts, tank top shirt, gaudy sun glasses, straw hat
walking a poodle on a leach.

Al, Since the bidet, why should I even wear underpants? Only when I wear nice pants do I put on underwear. My butt is always squeaky clean. I wish I had known the benefits of a good bidet toilet seat years ago.

Also, gravity has been kind to my girls :ROFLMAO:

Eric, the button hooker I use is PocketDresser. I purchased mine from Amazon, but they are available from many sources.

Be aware that there is a technique you will need to learn to be successful with it. There are youtube videos on how to use it.

I bought my flannel-lined jeans at Costco (I like their jeans). You can also get them from many other providers, such as LL Bean, Eddie Bauer, Carhartt, Duluth Trading Company, etc.

I get them a bit baggy so that I can wear long johns underneath when necessary.

My PALS has always worn shorts and t-shirts so we didn't need to change his wardrobe much. We are lucky to live in SoCal although it's very cold today! He wore Depends for a while but was uncomfortable so I told him just to go Commando. He can't dress himself any longer and frankly it's easier without the Depends.

He did some facial hair for a while but I think it was irritating with the bipap masks. Now he has insisted on growing his hair long which makes it difficult to deal with but he likes it. He has a "man bun".

In my mid 40s, I grew my hair long. It reached jus past about half way down my back. As Covid hit, I was not inclined to hit the barber shop... and my last, very short haircut was done by my daughter when she was home for Christmas 2019.

By summertime, it was starting to get longer. I mentioned that it might be time to get it cut. Darcey said, "Please don't cut your hair. I'm really liking it long!"

My daughter was home again for Christmas 2020 and did only a trim... enough to clean up 12 months worth of shaggyness. I continue to leave it long in remembrance of my wife. Here's what it looks like, now...

@KimT my Chris had long hair - half way down his back, always in a pony tail (I have longer hair, but hey).
That was the biggest style change for me, and I never quite got used to him with short hair. Once he could not brush his own hair he just went and had it all cut off. I was shocked. I knew it was the practical thing to do, and it really gave him relief from having to face that he couldn't do that task. But I grieved that hair oh man.

I will say that keeping a short beard, one that could just be trimmed with electric razor (which is how we did his hair too), was far easier for everyone than trying keep him shaved.

Being from Iowa, my major change has been long underwear! :) So far, not much has changed - I never was much for button tops. I did buy my first front snap bra last month. ;) I wore leggings yesterday and getting them on was a challenge and getting them off, a nightmare... SO I'm thinking not again.

As far as dress goes I have given into the casual look… really
casual. The new “Don’t Tuck it” look with the TV commercial
for their custom made shirts. Don’t press my shirts and jeans
(for that crease look) and more.

It was a break from my years of military appearance influence.

But… the hair remains short and no beard. I do have a mustache,
in Viet Nam I had a big handle bar mustache. Coming back to
the states, assigned to my new unit the CO said that had to go.
The first day I signed in at HQ my hair long far beyond Army
regs. My unit was an out in the boonies unit, we worked closely
with the Montagnards. Our unit was not a spit and polish unit
like the base camp units.

When I reported into the HQ office after 30 days leave the CO
was there, he looked at me and said, “Sergeant.. what in hell
Army do you belong to? You get a haircut and that handle
bar goes before I assign you any duty in my Company.”

Looking at his shoulder patches... he was Germany transfer.
Tee hee... shortly after he got his orders. The new CO was
a Vietnam Vet... we got along fine.

Anyway, when I go to Vietnam reunions I almost feel out of
place… no pony tail, no ear rings, no beard, no tattoos, no
vest with pins, patches and logos,

The one logo patch that I have to control my temper and comment
over is when I see some of these supposed combat warriors wear…

“Kill them all… let God sort them out.”
(Kill 'em all... let God sort 'em out)

Anywhooo… my turn to ramble. Maybe too much. Sorry.

Good to see you, Al.
Just drivin' by.

I wore a full beard for 25 years. Once I was put on bipap I went with a full face mask. So away went the beard and I now rock a stache and a soul patch. Took a while before my kids recognised me as dad without facial hair.

I finally got my hair cut again. It's a short stack that covers about half of my neck. I love it and I don't have to wash it every time I shower to keep the shape.

I wanted to treat myself so I ordered some sleeveless t-shirts from Life is Good. Their colors and graphics make me feel better.
