PEG Tube Backup

New PEG tube two days ago. Not using for feeding yet. Just flushing it and getting used to it and eating through the mouth.

Why is there yellow discharge that backs up into (and fills) the visible portion of the tube, please? Should we flush it out? Drain it?

That's contents from your stomach. Use your syringe and pull back then push the plunger in. That will make the discharge go back into your stomach then I would flush it with water.
