I have a question regarding neuro symtoms and pain. Most of my issues have been concentrated in my neck, back along my spine, shoulders, throat, mouth, face. I have a lot of consistant muscle soreness (it hurts when I wake, and the same when I lay down to go to bed). Just recently I have begun having intense muscle pain (not a sore throat at all) when I swallow or when I talk to much. The pain is located in the muscles just under my ears. I still have all of my other symptoms, the list is to long to go into. Has anyone ever experienced or had this issue and if so what was the diagnosed or input from your Dr.? Thanks.

this most certainly indicates a viral infection, maybe effecting your glands.
the pain you mentioned is not als related either from umn involvement and pain related to advanced lmn involvement like joint contractures.
you are just fishing up symptoms, even with als you can have other health symptoms not related to it.
i have been in alot of pain 24/7 for some years now from spasms and now also joint contrctures, believe me i know what living with real pain is like.

I agree with you caroline. In addition to everything going on, I started feeling even worse over the last 5 days and I think the 2 are non-related. I was just asking if anyone thought is was neurological or otherwise. My muscles just get fatigued and sore so easy. Even talking to much makes the muscles in my neck sore. I think whatever I have had over the last year is now being magnified by the fact that I have a bug on top of it.

April- I am going on the 5th, I am not sure with who, its a specialist though. I really hope they give me some awnsers. I hear they are good. Who are you going to meet with? Please PM me about your experience, I will be interested to hear how it was and compare it to mine.
