Hello, I am turning to this forum in desperation because I am very afraid of ALS and unfortunately some of my symptoms point to this disease.
I have the following symptoms:
Stiffness in almost all muscles
Muscle twitching all over the body
Arms, legs, torso, buttocks / very strong after waking up.
Cardiac arrhythmias
Pain in all muscles
Tired Muscles
Globus sensation in the throat
Tense and tense muscles with a slight tendency to cramp
fatigue
Gastrointestinal complaints
The first time I had muscle twitches was about 8 years ago.
Now this muscle stiffness has come along with pain and an old man feeling.
I saw several neurologists at the time.
An EMG and NLG was also carried out 6 years ago, which was fine.
I recently went back to a neurologist who did simple tests without repeating an EMG.
I am now waiting for an appointment at a neuromuscular clinic to do further tests.
How would you rate my chances that the tests might ultimately reveal ALS?
What does typical ALS muscle stiffness look like?
Thank you!
