Please consider sending your House member a communiqué regarding potential cosponsorship of H.R. 4945, which would exempt NIV from Medicare's competitive bidding program for five years. Right now, CMS is scheduled to proceed in 2021 with applying a price-based methodology to selecting which DMEs can supply PALS, as well as kids and adults with muscular dystrophy, spinal cord injuries, severe COPD, etc. with BiPAPs, Trilogy, Astral and the like. This all came out of a GAO report showing suppliers were up-billing for patients who didn't need NIV (none of whom were PALS, obviously).

Done! She has not been responsive in the past but I really tweaked the ALSA letter to try to sound more personal. We'll see!

Done, also with additional personal messages.

Hats off to Laurie for keeping us informed and sending the necessary link!!!:D👏👏👏

I sent it to my representative and received a lengthy response from him detailing other ALS issues he has introduced and participated in. I guess that's the advantage of living in a sparsely populated state.

thank you for spreading the word about this issue.
