About ten days ago I received my trach. While post surgery recovery thus far seems to be going fine, I am wondering if anyone has dealt with and found solutions for head and neck leaning to one side due to neck weakness. For me, this issue predates the trach. I spend bulk of day in a recliner which I find more comfortable than PWC. Prior to trach, I used a standard foam neck brace which worked pretty well. Not available now given trach tube.

So, if anyone has any ideas For neck support in a recliner chair, I would very much appreciate it.

Thank you

Glad to hear you have come through the procedure. I would take a look at the different versions of "Bones Chiropractic pillows" that you could attach to the chair, and maybe build up the wings on the side with some foam blocks. You may also need to adjust the back angle of the recliner.

Best,
Laurie
