Hi everyone. I am 18 years old and was diagnosed with ALS last January 2017. I joined this forum cause I know that it will help me a lot.

That's very young. Did you get a second opinion on the diagnosis from another neurologist?

Actually I have talked to 3 doctors already. And right now it's getting worse.

"Talked to?" Did you have an EMG? Blood tests?

ALS does tend to get worse, not better.

I already had the EMG-NCV and fasciculations in my tongue were found and the neurologist told me its the beginning of als. Today I have difficulty smiling, eating and people around me are having a hard time understanding me and yes, I cannot actually believe this because I'm way too young. All I can hope for is a miracle.
