I love it here already and yes, I am a southern girl from Arkansas; however, I WAS born in Daly City, CA so I do have some CA roots too...

My dad was diagnosed in February 2007 with ALS and I've been trying to find support for myself and my family to deal with this horrible disease. I've learned so much from this forum, some things that I was ready to hear and some I wasn't but all very helpful information. I've been searching since February for some way of me to deal with this as I am very much a daddy's girl and this is helping get me on the right track.

Thank you for the warm welcome, I look forward to many more posts in the future!
