I received my hospital bed. I was able to get a full electric one. I also got a gel overlay for it. My problem is that I'm short and the overlay makes the bed to high for me. I have to sit on the edge and my husband puts a stepstool so I can push myself back onto the bed.
I had purchased a alternating air pressure pad that I used in my regular bed. I slept in the hospital bed for the first time last night. I woke up this morning with shoulder pain in my left shoulder and hip. If I put the pressure pad it's only going to make the bed higher and more cumbersome to get in. I think that I might have to remove the gel overlay and replace it with the alternating air pressure pad. I'm curious if anyone else has their alternating pressure pad directly on top of the foam mattress and if it is comfortable.
