hey renee,
I'm just now trying to read thru all of the posts I missed during the last 2 days with no power.
I had thought about going to a hotel yesterday, but heard on the radio they were all full anywhere around us.
So we got creative - pulled out a bunch of board games, the kids laughed at me making funny faces/noises, as soon as my camera charges back up, i should have some awesome pics to put on here!
Stay warm and safe!
hugs,
-b

Hey, everyone, thanks for asking how we are doing. Still in Motel, I am going crazy, They are now saying maybe 10 more days before my electric is on because we live out with 10 acre tracts, so we only have about 10 homes out on our power line and the ones with the most houses get service first, I may go broke, between motel cost and feeding the kids out every meal. I am trying to stay positive and make the best of it. I decided if it was going to take this much money, I may have to try to treat it like vacation. Thanks again everyone for checking on me.

Renee~

Your home owners insurance may cover this /reimbust you. We lost power last summer and some of the homes on a different grid were out for a week and one of my friends had to go to hotel as well and got insurance cover. I guess it would depend on the coverage. They did get money for all the food that wasted in thier freezer and fridge....it was summer.

I would treat it like vacation, eating out, maid service, go to indor pool, movies....sounds good to me!
