Brenda! Hot chocolate :) that sounds so good. Really, sure wish there was some in the house without having to brave the cold though. Don went to two grocery stores, and the wine shop for me before he left for work today, why didn't I think of it! I've got three new dvds from netflix, tons of snow on the way, what more could I ask for!

(Sorry Margaret, had to get it off of my chest, still toying with the idea of a hot chocolate run before the snow hits)

I will gather some information together about narrow angle, and send it to you, probably after I go get the cocoa.... and marshmallows....

Come on Rose, you know a great glass of red wine is better than hot chocolate! Hot cocoa, only good for morning or afternoon! I just went and got 3 dvd's today as well! 'Narnia' for the boys, 'the family that prays together, Tyler perry' for me, 'fireproof' for me and hubby! OH, and wine for after kids go to bed!

April.

We just watched Fireproof last night. Great moral, not to good of acting, but a must see for any couple, especially if they are struggling in their relationship.

Oh yes, red wine at night, but tomorrow..... something about snow fall, a fire and hot chocolate. ~ kind of like snow fall, a fire and red wine at night :)

I've been buying Kinkerbrick zinfandel (the red, not the pink/white stuff) is it ever good! and Castle Rock pinot noir. Completely hooked on both,... and Ray's Station cab/sav, but the shop has been out lately ..... now, if I made my own merlot like Al does, I'd probably have other reasons for my balance issues LOL

No "new" movies, just old favorites. Rented Russia House (Sean Connery and Michelle Pfeiffer) Shining Through Michael Douglas and Melanie Griffith ~ really don't like her much, but love this movie, and Sneakers with Robert Redford. (and who cares who else!)

We just went a week or so ago to see the new Clint Eastwood movie, Gran Torino ~ it was really really good. One of the best he's made IMHO

Cheers

(after I send Margaret a message that is)

wish I could have a drink, or 3 or 4, I am soo much medication I am afraid to drink anything, between the pain meds, the diabetes drugs, high blood pressure meds and the prednisone I would probably fall out. Sometimes I wish I could just stop taking everything for a few days and have a large vodka on the rocks:lol:

Rose,

I will have to pm you on some good wine picks. I love red wine but depend on my more expierenced wine lovers to tell me what to buy! And the last one I tried at my nieghbors on New years was cake bread! Ok, I have 3 young kids and $150/bottle is not going to work on a weekly basis! but it is sooooo smooth! I love any baby brunella (SP) and I recently tried red zinfandel and I love it! I though zinfandel was white so I never tried.(kinda like franza in the box?) I do like whites in the summer time with salad but love reds. I dont drink alot (It sounds that way) but I love a glass or 2 at night to relax after a stressful day with 3 kids and it helps me sleep. We have 2 different sets of friends that have wine cellars. They are older and kids gone, and they collect wine as a hobby and love to share with the subdivision. It is really generous. Have you ever tired Bobby Burns? My hubby likes Groth. I also like anything from alexander valley. Ok, I better stop now.....

I heard that fireproof was good and sometimes with those type of films the acting is not great but the moral is awesome.

I love ALL tyler perry films. Sometimes I just want a good ole fashion comedy/love story where it all works out and every one is happy!
Too much stress and drama in real life!

I loved the acting in "Fireproof". Was some of it over done? You bet. The over/under acting is part of the charm of the movie. In the theater we saw the movie, some folks even got a bit weepy near the end.

My daughter loves Tyler Perry also. The movie she did the make-up for N-SECURE had a lot of Tyler Perry actors.

Kim, I cried when I watched Fireproof, hit home a little. I still think the parents need acting lessons.

I am in a motel room, No MOVIES, My electric got hit by storm 2 nights ago and they are saying maybe 6 more days with no electric. I do not know what I will do here with 3 little ones and nothing to do. I am going to have to get creative, I have no car either, It could not make it down our 1/2 mile driveway, Hopefully I can go get it soon, that will make things easier.

Take care all and keep warm.

Renee,

Sorry that you are stuck in a hotel room for the time being. We lived in upstate New York during the big black out that shut down a lot of the eastern US. I can remember the kids asking over and over when the lights would come back on, and why the TV and computer didn't work. Thankfully we were college students at the time, so there wasn't much in the fridge :)

I hope they get you up and running in less than 6 days.

Take care,

Robert

Renee,

We had a very big ice storm 2 years ago and it knocked power out at my house for 9 days. Some folks went as long as 2 weeks without power. Tree limbs (big ones!) were everywhere but in the trees.

I purchased a generator on day 4 of no power and understand what you are going through.

If you are using any sort of medical equipment like hoyer lifts or Bi-paps I would think a generator is most necessary. I hope we are done with storms for a time at least. Stay safe, everybody!

Speaking of Fireproof, did ya'll (that's Southern if you don't recognize it) know the movie was produced by a church in Georgia. Same folks that did Facing the Giants, and one other I haven't seen. Their budget has gotten bigger with each one. Good family movies... nice to see.;)

Renee,

I hope you get your electric back, I feel so bad that you and the kids are stuck in a hotel room. Then again the kids might think its cool.
