Cindy,

I'm trying to piece everything together to see my local neuro next week. From what I understand Dr. Quan's assessment was based mainly on on the single fiber EMG results. Did you have anything in your bloodwork or imaging that was a clue?

I'm pretty sure that an extensive single fiber is what I want to pursue next, but not sure if I should go to somewhere like the Mayo - Scottsdale, where I could revist the auto-immune/rheum angle, or purely a neuromuscular specialist like Dr. Quan. Your experience certainly seemed positive.

Take care,

Robert

YAY Cindy!

I'm so happy to hear about the turn that this is taking on your diagnosis!

It's very interesting to hear how we all can have different experiences with different doctors. If our virus thing doesn't pan out...we'll need to search again and the Mayo was what we originally had booked. Would you mind sharing (in private if that's what you prefer) your experience there? We are also within range of Colorado...so this may be an option as well

We've actually heard great things about the dr that gave my husband his als diagnosis...but we did NOT have a good experience with him and felt dismissed and belittled and rushed and unimportant. UGH!

I SOOOO hope they can get you feeling better soon!
