I am kinda happy because i have a sign of something other than ALS... I wrote awhile ago about me losing the ability to move my hand after it had been clenched like a fist. Well it has happened repeatedly now AND i think that what is causing my back pain and stiffness.....The cold weather used to stiffen me right up but now holding on to something too long or holding on to my steering wheel will make my fingers lock up and unable to move, thank god it is my left hand and not my right! When i am bent over it is hard for me to stand straight up and i walk around crippled like for a few minutes then i can straighten up... Well i came across this thing called Myotonia and i have not found anywhere that it is a symptom of ALS....... So i am asking the question, have any of the PALS experienced this? The only thing that does not fit for me is that it is not symmetrical, it occurs in my left hand the one with wasting........

Sam.... have you done any reasearch on myotonic dystrophy.... try googling it.
