Hi everyone. Here for the same as many in this forum- to ask whether my symptoms fit the bill.

I had a very weird onset of symptoms. Its been over 6 months and its very upsetting. I can no longer work due to the pain and excessive fatigue but the doctors dont know whats wrong.

July 2019- Start feeling dizzy at work. Getting severe headaches daily.

August 2019- Taken off work due to disabling headaches and mild dysphasia (inability to find the right word) or comprehend spoken words in a timely manner). Around this time I started having severe leg cramps in my right leg and chest pain. Admitted to hospital. Nightmares occur back to back for weeks. Episodes of sleep paralysis.

September 2019- Cramps in left leg and chest pain intensify. No longer able to sleep lying down flat (almost like my brain was forgetting to make me breathe during the night). Wake up with constricted feelings in throat, gasping for air and racing heart.

Nov-Dec 2019- Chest pain continues day and night. Begin to notice mild difficulty swallowing and twitches in my right leg. Shortly after (about 4-8 weeks) I notice the twitching migrate to my left leg. 4 inicidents of electric shocks running through my body as well as pins and prickles sensation. Tremor in my hands.

Jan 2020- Twitching in my left arm and thumbs. 4 weeks after they migrate to left foot. Chest pain subsided, but left with occasional pain in sternum, under breast bone and my back behind my breasts. (A breast specialist said this was definitely musculoskeletal pain). Can lie flat but must be facing downwards.

Feb 2020- Twitching continues in legs constantly. Right leg frequently cramping, and lower arms (on top) are constantly aching. Throat constriction and difficulty swallowing feeling constant. Excessively fatigued and yawning all the time. Some spinal pain. Pain in sternum comes and goes. Hands start shaking (not painful) when holding anything for a period of time.

Tests so far;
GP; pelvic ultrasound, thyroid ultrasound, chest CT, chest x ray, brain MRI, numerous blood tests, nerve conduction study. Nothing found.
Cardiologist; Stress test, ECG, Holter monitor, heart ultrasound. Findings- ecotopic heartbeats and sinus tachycardia.
Breast specialist; antibiotics, ultrasound and physical exam.
ENT; Sinus spray, endoscopy. Throat clear.

Hi
I am sorry that you are having so many issues but no it doesn’t sound like ALS.

good luck in finding your answer

Please read the post at the top of this forum titled Read Before Posting. It should answer your questions and show why we don't see ALS in your future.

I would ask about a sleep study. But no, we won't see ALS in this.

All the best.

Definitely need a sleep study. Nothing you posted sounds like ALS.
