At the beginning of 2024 I started noticing alot of fatigue and something just felt off. At the end of march I started having this nerve pain. Felt like a zap from my head down to my arms and fingers, lasted about a week then went away. About a month later I lost my balance and fell down a flight of stairs.

In may the zaps came back. Had to take a medical leave from work. Was put on some nerve medication that helped the zaps go away but i also started having right sided weakness that has been fluctuating. When the weakness started in may I was using fore arm crutches to walk but now I have had to transition into a wheel chair for long distances because my right arm is too weak to handle sustaining my weight for long periods of time. Docs aren't sure what is wrong yet but a lot of symptoms I'm having are pointing to this way. Thought I'd put something out there and see if anyone would respond to me.

Hi there-

Sorry your searches have brought your here looking for answers. We do ask that people read here first: Read Before Posting. It explains why sensory issues (zaps, nerve pain, etc) and symptoms that come and go (fluctuating) point towards something other than ALS/MND. So while you feel as though things are pointing towards ALS, the link provided explains why that is not so.

What are next steps with your doctors? What tests have been conducted?

I know it justthis is part of the list of things it could be so im trying to get perspectives from all angles. The tests ive had so far is an mri a spinal tap and an eeg mri showed some tiny lesions and my spinal tap came up normal mostly had some immune response, and im still waiting on the eeg results my neurologist is sending me to a neuro muscular specialist who ill meet next month
