Hi,

I would very much appreciate your insight.

I am 30 and my problems started approximately 10 months ago with fasciculations in all parts of body.

I have problems carrying even small weights (e.g. shopping bags) and my left hand starts shaking afterwards (mainly thumb area). My muscles, including legs are stiff and often shake, even though I try to flex them almost every day.

I underwent needle EMG of left hand which was clear (no spontaneous activity).

I have noticed progressive muscle wasting in thumb areas on both hands, which is slightly more profound on the right one. I am sending pictures of my right hand. My palms and fingers are always cold and I have noticed worsened movement of thumbs (for example when writing on my phone).

The EMG was done in March this year, do you think it should be repeated or should I wait a few more months?

Thank you for any advice.

I don’t see pictures but they are not helpful anyway so don’t bother to try to post them.

you should visit your doctor and let them decide what testing may be needed. However emgs are generally repeated in 6 months if there was a reason to be concerned rarely in 3 months
