Hi,
I've had muscle fascilations (widespread, legs, arms, torso, face, hand).For several months
I've also had muscle stiffness in legs, arms, and torso in-between the twitches.
Mid may-current
Went to Primary who referred to neurologist.
Neurologist said due to my age (31 y/o male) and syntoms winning the lottery was far higher of a chance then ALS (good news there).
He found that my legs were 3/4 on the reflex scale. He said it was a tad abnormal but not crazy
He scheduled an MRI to check for spine damage or brain issues.
However I've noticed a difference in calf sizes so I had my wife measure calf circumference (10cm below knee).
The findings were the left leg was 2cm smaller then right.
I messaged the doctor through the health network and he immediately scheduled an EMG.
I dont appear to have any functional weakness and also there is a possibility that ive always had the difference in size but never noticed before really paying attention to everything.
I suppose my question would be;
1)Should I be more concerned about als now?
2) Or is this more of a test to eliminate it as a possibility?
3) realistically what are the odds of something beyond BFS? (if you are feeling generous and want to throw a number)
I do plan to follow up and listen to the doctor, but I'm just stressed about all of this.
Thank you for your consideration
