MS breakthrough with Chemotherapy and Stem Cells

There has been a breakthrough in a MS Canadian trial that uses Chemotherapy to kill off the immune system and stem cells re implanted.
I know they are different diseases but could a trial be set up to see if this therapy would work with people who have ALS.
 
I'm not sure why you think we can answer whether a trial could be set up, we are not doctors, scientists or researchers.

I'm sure all the tip ALS researchers are aware of this breakthrough however and would follow it if they think it could cross over to ALS. MS and ALS are totally different diseases so it may not have any relevance.
