MS breakthrough with Chemotherapy and Stem Cells

There has been a breakthrough in a MS Canadian trial that uses Chemotherapy to kill off the immune system and stem cells re implanted.
I know they are different diseases but could a trial be set up to see if this therapy would work with people who have ALS.

I'm not sure why you think we can answer whether a trial could be set up, we are not doctors, scientists or researchers.

I'm sure all the tip ALS researchers are aware of this breakthrough however and would follow it if they think it could cross over to ALS. MS and ALS are totally different diseases so it may not have any relevance.

Steve I just had the information about the MS breakthrough sent to me too. Hope for multiple sclerosis cure as 23 seriously ill patients recover after 'breakthrough' stem cell treatment 
One of our members that many might not know, Ted Harada (TedH5 on the forum) participated at neuralstem trials at Emory, and was received honoured for his participation in those trials. I think the UK info if fascinating and who knows what impact it will have for ALS.
