mother in law wants to die

Hi Texgirl. The morning episodes are probably from low O2 and high CO2 build up as she sleeps. If she is in Hospice care there probably isn't much they'll do for it though. Possibly the meds could be a factor but at least that is a simple remedy.

that is what i suspected as well Al.....she was the same way this morning as well.

She and her husband are still convinced its her meds, so they are trying to back off the meds.....not sure how that is going to work...they are there to make her comfortable.

also, she is severely constipated. today is day 5 without going, even with multiple doses of a prescription oral laxative and a soap enema last night. she ended up going just a little bit, but not what anyone would consider a real movement. hopefully the nurse last night convinced them that it is imperitive that they take the laxatives daily instead of waiting several days with nothing, and suddenly trying to get her to go.
