MMN or MND? Are they the same?

Ok. Second question. Is MMN a form of ALS? Or, a motor neuron disease/disorder? The CIDP/GBS Foundation considers MMN a variant of CIDP, which was part of my original diagnosed. Most of what I can find online is conflicting.

MMN is NOT ALS it is a completely different disorder. It does not progress to ALS. It is not one of the 5 included in the usual US defintion of the MNDs but it in a looser definition it could be called an MND. It is definitely in the category of neuromuscular disorders

The difference between MMN and MND is that MMN responds to treatment( IVIG) and can be put into remission. MND Does not respond to treatment, ALS there is one drug treatment, riluzole, that give you 2 maybe 3 extra months. WOOOHOOO
