I agree with AL. This sub-forum is Off topic "Rants and raves". How good can a rant be if it doesn't veer into the political once in a while? I think all views on all sides should be welcome as long as they are respectful.

Karen, if it makes you feel better, I am a voracious consumer of the news media and have NOT heard/seen this meme using your name, though admittedly my reading material is more NY Times and Politico-type stuff than the blogosphere and tweets.

ARCG. . . you are a hopeless romantic! I like your idea and wish it were a reality. I do believe MLK's statement that the arc of the moral universe is long but that it bends toward justice. It's just taking a long time.

And Kim, I like your political rants. I miss them.
