Thank God for this forum, Merry Christmas to all my friends here.

Janie

Vicki, thank you for posting the Serenity Prayer phrase. The power of that prayer is beyond measure. It will bring patience to those who need it desperately everyday if they really focus into the depth of that prayer. I tell people don't pray for a miracle to solve seemingly overwhelming problems. Pray for the wisdom... to solve them. Or... the strength to deal with them and accept them as your given burden. Thanks again.

Merry Christmas to all!

And... Happy Holidays to all the other folks. (It's the new world we live in.)

Here is the whole prayer, Al. It does wonders for me.

Serenity Prayer
Reinhold Niebuhr (1892-1971)

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
enjoying one moment at a time;
accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
that I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
forever in the next.
Amen.

Merry Christmas everyone! May 2015 brings us many miracles!

Thank you vickim! Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to everyone indeed! Vicki, thanks for posting the latter portion of Neibuhr's prayer. I had never seen any but the first part of it. Maranatha!
