I am so very sad. As said above, we all felt him slipping away. He was a huge presence on this forum, always positive and we loved the dog pictures.

I'm really struggling with this loss. We met Max and Sandy two years ago at the ALS Advocacy Day events in DC, and it was a true pleasure. He inspired me to agree when my husband asked for a dog, and he was always willing to help others while he was able.
I keep getting these visions of Max reaching the bridge and just how many big reds were jumping and slobbering all over him - what a reception he would have received!
