Hello,
I am from Manitoba, Canada. I'm not even sure what facilities we have in our province. This is all still so new to me...my dad was just diagnosed June 5...the neurologist said he was almost 100% sure dad had ALS but would set up an MRI just to be sure. What about this EMG? Is there blood work that should be done. Dad has had 2 CT scans - one in 2003 and again in April of this year. From what I gather, there was no change in the 3 years - what would show up on a CT scan if a person has ALS? From what I gather, the neurologist looked him over thoroughly, but should we just accept this? He wasn't very helpful as far as I can see, as far as offering options, testing, etc.
