Lost my Guiding Star

Dave,
What a beautiful tribute to your shining star and the woman with whom you shared your life.
I'm so sorry for your loss.

Late one night, a Master "Amateur" Astronomer friend of ours was pointing upward toward the sky, naming the constellations and showing us the North Star, when it suddenly occurred to me; He wasn't seeing a "sky of stars". He was seeing the "North Star as a beacon, the sky as a map". I realized: no matter where He would be, He would never be lost, He would always know the way home!

So does your lovely Nova, now watching over you. The "black hole" you sense now, is only on earth. She just extended her earthy light into her new home. The light in your minds and heart need never diminish. May it be so. B.

Thank you, B. What a comforting thought.

Dave,

I'm sorry for your loss. How awesome an example to set for those around you to have been married for so many wonderful years. The establishment of a scholarship was a beautiful thing to do. May your stars shine brighter from the memories that will keep her forever alive in your heart.

My best...

Jim
