Looking for info on bow Chest

What do you mean by bow chest? My husband has a large almost like a huge bump on his collarbone/chest area. He was told it was severe arthritis. He only had this when he had ALS for a while. Please, be specific. I want to know if it is similar to what my husband has and could this be ALS related. Thanks.

People with COPD can develop a strange chest--is that what you mean? Barrel chest?

not sure but a fellow cals said that hospice said her mom had it..i guess its caused by co2 build up,chest is bowed and hard..i was looking ito it because my husband chest has changed but all i have found is pictures of drawers with ows and something called pidgeon chest..im still searching

Is your husband on BiPAP already? That would help if his CO2 is building up.

Is it pushing his chest and ribs out or is it a hard fatty deposit on the outside of his ribs? If its the latter, search Buffalo hump.
