Hello. Thank you so much for being here to share your you knowledge, your kindness is really immeasurable. I'm a 64 woman who has struggled with health anxiety with the help of paxil for decades. I've read th he disclaimer stickers which are so helpful. However approx 1 month ago while holding a book a noticed a twitch on the side of my hand. I knew this had triggered ALS thoughts in the past but this time remembered past incidences and was said NOPE, STOP IT, and it stopped by the next morning . Within days a pronounced stiffness started in the hand, in the fingers then knuckle area and lower hand / wrist. Now stiffness has moved up foreman No real pain just a fatigued feeling and achiness, perhaps some perceived numbness and stiffnes, like nothing I've ever experienced for several weeks now. I will be seeing my pcp on 10/17 the earliest appointment. I'm overwhelmed with a spiraling fear that this is ALS and admittedly have spent the last 2+ weeks doing everything you shouldn't do unless you want to feed your fears. I've been praying everyday that it would just go away and then I would be believe it wasn't anything bad. Thank you so much for the time that give you really are angels on this earth

I think you know this isn't ALS. The mind is very powerful and fears become feelings.

If the Paxil isn't enough, maybe more or better counseling? You deserve to live without these fears. Please block ALS sites in your browser and get the help you need.

I will block the sites and I'm looking forward to getting the help I need to live a less struggle and fear filled life. Again what you do to help people here while dealing with your own struggles leave me feeling humbled. Thank you.
