If you are following or watching the” Curse of Oak Island”… you’ll probably
be watching it next year too. They’ve drilled more holes than 4 golf courses
and digging in the swamp for the past three or four years.

I doubt all the advertisers would want to them to find all the treasure this year.

How did all the shows/programs agree to go to break at the same time? It seems
you can’t beat those same commercials over and over by changing channels.
I have Dish but a friend of mine has Verizon and he said the same thing.

Now I’m watching more TV than I ever did before ALS. I’d love to be a
commercial critic…the med ads they run where the possible side effects to
me are scary… and that part of the ad is longer than the initial ad. Guess I
need my computer guru friend to help me set up a blog being I have lost so
much of my computer skills. Many people have gotten rich doing that.

Anyway, all the shows I watch were repeats so I sat here doing this on Word
first with just my right hand… just rambling on. Maybe I’ll find something
to watch now. :)

I'm watching so much more TV than ever before. Good thing I love women's basketball. That's my "go to". I record all the games and ff through the commercials.

I wish they'd take drugs off the TV like they did with cigarettes. Same ones. Another ad that pisses me off is Medicare Advantage ads. Oh, and reverse mortgage.

I try to watch through no ad streaming platforms but when those commercials creep in - ugh! KimT, I’m a big fan of women’s basketball and love the new Unrivaled league!

Al, it is great to see your post.

I no longer watch any broadcast TV. I do streaming only and pay to not see commercials. I lost my interest in the major sports (I used to be a big football fan) about 10 years ago.

I probably watch more Youtube than anything else. I have a passion for history, technology, photography, engineering, wheelchairs, etc. The amount and quality of youtube content on these topics is astounding.

As I spend more time in bed, I find that the entertainment and education I get on commercial free streaming platforms is well worth the price of admission.

@CAD. Which team to you like with unrivaled? I started out with Vinyl, but I'm a big fan of BG and Phee, so I really don't have a team.

For the WNBA, Liberty is my team since it's my home state. I can't wait until we see how DeWanna plays for Fever. She will make a huge difference.

For the life of me, I can't figure out how Carrington and Reese play with long nails. I played bb in school and had to have my nails cut very short.

Steve, I have all the streaming services, thanks to my housemate. I have commercial-free YouTube, too. Everything is on YouTube. Lately, I watch the Brownsville, ME deer food pantry and bird pantry. Very interesting.

KimT, I don’t have a favorite team but admire many of the players. And my favorite is Sabrina Ionescu as I am an Oregon season ticket holder and got to watch her throughout her college career, including when they beat Team USA in an exhibition match. Fun fact: my love of the game came from an amazing student of mine who was the star of the team pre-Sabrina and we keep in touch to this day (recently went on leave from my faculty position - like you).

If I could go back to commercials just once., I don’t have the aps to avoid them.

The car protection ads, one now says you can get $300 hundred dollar off their
plan. Maybe that says how expensive it would be to sign up and have that
taken out of your bank account each month. I’d bet it would be like pulling a
tooth out of a live tiger to cancel their plan. :) You’d probably need a lawyer.

If you keep up the maintenance on your car(s) I believe it would be cheaper
than one of those plans. Even if you did have a $1800 dollar repair, I’m sure
that would be cheaper than being in their long term contract.

I know about cars being I did some racing involved with Sportsman Modified .
I have a 2016 car that I get service checkups about every six months. I’d
take that car on a long distance trip if needed.

Rambling again… :)
