The Canada ALSA should send the US ALSA instructions on how to truly be an advocate for PALS and CALS! The US ALSA will make $100,000.00 PROFIT from their conference. We have to pay. From my facebook on 8 April; "Michele Dupree 24 hrs to go... I can't believe it but I think I will pass on DC this yr. Too many people I know in desperate need. Wouldn't it make more sense to take my $1,000 and send it to someone who could literally die without something they need? I looked @ the ALSA annual report- they profit over $100,000 on this conference- while thousands cannot afford to get there. I think this is the year when I call out the bull-shit." They charge for us to attend so that we can meet with the Government Officials to increase funding that goes to them and still no progress made on a cause, a treatment or a cure...
