Hello everyone. Looks like everyone else here has the same concern as I do. The same concern and worry that is crippling me every single day, and stopping me living my life.
I have severe health anxiety, which I will fully admit, and I read too much on Google on a daily basis.
I quickly run through my symptoms:
Last January, I had an electric shock type pain shoot up my thumb of my right hand.
Later that year, I lost my dad to pneumonia. As the year progressed, I lost more and more dexterity in my right hand.
The ability to wiggle my fingers with my hand, family raised in the air is only there when I wake up then when I get out of bed, I’m unable to wiggle them freely. I can still move them just not as freely.
I have been going back-and-forth to a chiropractor
Who believed it may have been a form or version of thoracic outlet syndrome, test still on going for that.
Recently had an MRI of my T1 to C2 cervical spine and that came back clear.
However, as of about six weeks ago, I’ve noticed the tremor in my right arm when holding anything out straight, even an empty kind of Coke causes me to shake, and if I’m sat down and hold my right leg out it also shakes so I’m worried about one sided weakness coming in from potential MND. I get the occasional twitch in my leg and arm, but nothing of any note. Attached is a neurologist report that I recently saw at a private hospital and he is an expert on MND as that’s what he specializes in. He believes it’s onset, Parkinson’s young person’s Parkinson’s or Parkinsonism. But I’m worried he may be misdiagnosing me. I should also add I’ve had reconstructive hip surgery on my right leg, and I have osteoporosis in my spine and osteopenia in my hips.
The expert neurologist I saw at the hospital has put me forward for a brain, MRI scan and a DAT scan to Check the dopamine levels in my brain. Please feel free to read the attached report.
I can’t tense on flex my right leg or right arm because upon flexing or tensing it shakes. Should I be concerned about MND or ALS? Or does my report clear me of that?
If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask them and if anyone has any answers, please feel free to send them over because my health anxiety is through the roof.
Thank you, everyone.
