Hello, everybody, my name is Mike and I am 28 years old. At first, I want to pay my utmost respect to every one of you who fight this awful illness as well as to those, who help them in their fight. You are amazing people.
I come to you due to my fears of this illness, as I am afraid of the symptoms I have. I have read all the stickers and if to be honest, probably all the subforums before I decided to write.
My symptoms: for the last aproximatelly 2-3 months, I feel something is wrong with my right arm and hand. I didn't lose any function, but my arm feels heavy and it feels like my biceps and wrist are stiff. I have a pain in my wrist and in my pinky. It is the first thing I feel when I wake up and i feel it for the whole day. I understand that sensory symptoms point away from ALS but I also read that people do feel pain in early ALS.
What I am afraid the most is the fact that I lose my "dexterity" in the right hand - it feels more difficult to write, eat and do basic stuff with my right hand. On top of that, everything I carry in my right hand feels heavier that the other. For a couple of times, I have dropped things accidentally.
My question would be: Do these symptoms look like ALS? Is this a way how this illness would "present" itself at the early stages?
Thank you in advance for any answer you will provide and I apologise for wasting your time. Also, sorry for my English.
