I noticed among several features that there is a new "sound recognition" feature that may help CALS "listen" for their PALS needing help in other parts of the home, to the extent that they can generate non-vocal sounds or a machine alarm goes off. There is another feature that might make it easier for some PALS to operate iOS devices, called Back Tap. With a compatible door camera, there are person-specific notifications for those of you that have long walks to your entrances, and so on.
Of course, especially if you have an Apple Watch, there are new health monitoring features as well. All in all, if your phone supports it, worth a scroll through the feature list.
