Ionic Foot Detox

This is my first time on the site. My dad has ALS and I have been hearing a lot about ionic foot detox. Has anyone used this? I read about the Clay Detox, but I think that is different. Any information would help. Thanks. Susan

Hi Susan. Don't waste your money. There is no cure or treatment for ALS and anyone who tells you otherwise is either ill informed, lying or trying to make money from you. Most of these things have been tried by people here and don't work. Some have reported feeling better but it doesn't last. Rilutek may help some people but in tests has only been to shown to prolong life 3 to 6 months. I hope you don't think I'm being brutal here but there are so many scams out there that it is sometimes necessary. Check our scam watch section.

There is a chiropractor in long Island I went to that claimes he can reverse aLS with cold lazer and foot baths I went there and the man should be locked up I felt soooo sorry for the people there and I felt worse that I even went wHAT A SCAM. Please BEWARE Pat

I did the ionic foot baths for a while - and I really wasted my time. It was administered to me by an aesthetician who knew nothing about science.

Deep down I knew they could not be doing anything - but I figured what the hell. Now it just seems very silly.

The water will get all cloudy and foamy - but that has more to do with the minerals already present in the water and the crud on your feet - not any "toxins"

Hi Al - my ALS specialist is now saying that survivability with rilutek may be increased by up to a year in some cases, based on recent studies. He never use to recommend the product but now he is based on the new studies.
