My wife was diagnosed with ALS on December 4, 2024. Which happened to be my 58th birthday. She started having symptoms a little over a year ago. It started in her right hand, then went to her left hand and now to her legs in just a little over a year she has lost her ability to walk to feed herself to bathe herself to brush her teeth to use the bathroom by herself. I’m her primary caregiver and I am getting ready to have total knee replacement on my left knee in March 11 then six weeks later on my right knee. We are in the process of trying to find home health aid to come in and help out until I can recover from my knee surgery.
