Hi,
I'm a 37-year old female in the US. I have had consistent & significant muscle twitching over the past 14 months (since Dec. 2023). Twitching is predominantly in my right leg (calf, knee area, hamstring and foot) but also occurs throughout my body (face, left leg, hands, torso, etc).
I have had issues on and off with my right leg, cramping, feeling week. Lately, my right foot is causing problems and seems to be over pronating, making me limp slightly.
I have seen 2 neurologists and gotten one EMG on my right leg & arm over the past 15 months. EMG noted no evidence of lower motor neuron disease.
I can still stand on my tippy toes, jump and walk on heels on the affected leg and foot.
Given this new symptom (right leg limping) is there cause for concern for a repeat EMG or further clinical exams by a neuro? I have a regular follow up with my neuro in a few months. Or should I totally step away from the ALS concern given the clear previous EMG. EMG occurred about 12 months ago.
Thanks for your insight.
