William Howard Milo (known on this forum as wmilo) has passed away.
In the last few months of his life, Bill felt called to write a book which he completed two weeks before he passed. His book is meant to serve as a tool for those interested in the life of Jesus. It would overjoy him and those he is survived by if it made a difference in anyone's life. The book can be found on amazon “Finding the Gospel in the Bible”
Below is part of his obituary.
Bill was a devoted family and community member. He was a long-time congregant at his church and a loyal donor to the humane society. He loved all God's creatures, great and small. Bill had a 40-year career with IBM. He enjoyed playing on an inter-church softball league. He loved to take in the wonder of creation through biking and being outdoors.
Finally, a quote from Bill that exemplifies his unwavering faith and strength in the face of ALS.
"I feel closer to God now than I ever have before because I've had to put my trust in him completely. I feel like Peter talking to Jesus when he asked 'Where else can I go, Lord?', everything else I used to lean on in life has been reduced to nothing. My life on this earth is amazing. I've discovered the gift of living every day. Why would I find this situation that I am in to be exceptional? It's not like I ought to tell God 'you should have chosen a different path for me'. I'm so grateful for everything that I have."
We all miss you very much, Bill.
