Hi, i'm male 22yr old, from Brazil, so first of all sorry for my bad english.

About a two months ago, i started to feel tingles in left side of my face, in my right leg and palm and pinky and ring fingers of my right hand. The feel in the hand and the leg it was not exactly tingles, is like more swelling like when you sleep on your arm.

Likes it started out of nowhere. Someday I just lay down and feel this.

On the follow days I started to feel a kind of pain in my right arm and right leg. Like a fatigue. I noticed that repetitive movements made those muscles burn.

Even without making repetitive movements, about two weeks after the tingling began, one day, in my college graduation, I got stung by this pain and it bothered me to keep my arm raised in an oath.

I have been testing my physical strength at home and it seems normal

But now, two things happened: the tingling sensation passed, in fact it continues slightly on the left side of my face, close to the cheek...in the other way, I began to feel muscular contractions throughout my body, especially in both legs. When I lie down to sleep I just can not do it because the feeling of contraction in both legs bothers me. I feel it on my right arm too. And I think for two days I saw my legs shaking as I tried to sleep.

The pain seems to have diminished, but I still feel it mainly in the right leg.

A few days ago I realized that my right hand is a bit awkward, especially the big toe that sometimes shakes lightly.

What really worried me and made my coronation accelerate was the post I read today here. A boy of my age who was also looking for a diagnosis said he read on the internet that one of the early symptoms of ALS was the accumulation of phlegm in the throat and the need to clean it constantly. Well I've had it for a few months now! A very consistent white phlegm constantly appears in my throat that does not go down when swallowing, it sticks to the wall of the throat and I need to gargle with warm water and salt to remove it.

I have not yet consulted the specialist doctor but I am extremely worried, I know I look very hypochondriac but this report shocked me. It's very coincidental these strange symptoms that are appearing out of nowhere with this phlegm thing in my throat that has appeared for some time.

You're taking a bunch of non-ALS symptoms and conflating them. You've fallen prey to the evil Doctor Google.

The vast bulk of the symptoms you mentioned involve "feeling". This is NOT ALS .
I "feel" perfectly fine. No fatigue, no odd pains. Truly no different from my previous 60 years of life.
But I am a quadriplegic typing this with eye-gaze, breathing with a BiPAP.

Please first read the 'sticky' or 'pinned' post titled Read Before Posting.

Next, be sure to see your doctor but do NOT go there insisting that you have ALS.

Best wishes! :)

Agree 100% with Greg. Nothing you posted sounds like ALS

Thank you guys for the answer, but i'm complete desperate. I realized the shaking from my thumb comes from a twitching in the muscle. When I stretch my right hand with the palm facing upwards and raise my thumb without force it he shakes a lot. Since yesterday I'm feeling some strange feels in my tongue. I think I saw twiches in front of the mirror. A few days ago I read that this is synonymous with ALS. I do not know if it's paranoia but I'm almost sure that I have this disease. At the same time I'm afraid of being labeled crazy by my family. but I can not take it anymore. At all times I keep thinking about it and I can not take advantage or do anything

This forum is not the place for you. There is not anything people here can do for you. People have explained why you don't appear to have ALS and you are unable to believe it.

Please visit with a doctor who can examine you and walk you through their testing and explain why you can't have ALS. Remaining here can only increase your anxiety about ALS, as you are clearly doing research for symptoms and finding fuel for your worries. Please seek proper help with someone who can help you face to face.

No need to reply to this but tongue twitching is NOT synonymous with ALS it is usually benign. This myth about it being indicative of ALS is addressed in the post at the top of this subforum called important post read before posting

For going to the doctor: excellent! :)

For the coming back: Don't bother! You've nothing that sounds like ALS so there'll be no need! :)
